Welcome to episode 3 of the Creators Class podcast! The podcast that takes you into the lives of the most amazing creators in the world today, uncovering their new monetization strategies and learning more about how they’re carrying the creative flame.
In this episode, Nick Cicero and Nick Robinson interview Christine Mi, aka miologie, who is a talented Snapchat artist who we also met through CyreneQ. We then wrap up the show with the GOAT of the week.
Interview with miologie
Christine Mi got started on Snapchat as a fun hobby, and she would compete with her friends on who would make the funniest faces.
After some time using the platform for fun, she realized that she was really good at creating pictures. She then started sharing screenshots of her snaps on her Tumblr blog, and they became very popular.
She became so popular that Seventeen started covering her Snapchat art. Listen to the show to find out how people reacted to her Disney art.
All of the art that Christine creates is through the iPhone6+, and her style is best described as colorful. She has a background in oil painting, so she likes to experiment with different colors like she did when she was painting.
Her work with brands came as a surprise to her when an agency contacted her to work with Major League Soccer, ABC Family, and NBC Universal. She even worked with a very popular show on ABC Family. Find out what show it was by listening to the show.
She thinks that brands under utilize Snapchat because measuring impact is different compared to other channels, so it’s hard to understand for the more traditional marketers.
We cap off the interview with miologie describing collaborations with other Snapchat artists and how aspiring Snapchat artists can become popular.
GOAT of the Week
This week’s GOAT of the week is about Brian Willams.
One example was Brian Williams walking on the moon and another was him participating in the last supper.
